"True community is based upon equality, mutuality, and reciprocity. It affirms the richness of individual diversity as well as the common human ties that bind us together." ~ Pauli Murray

Rev. Dr. Pauli Murray was a pioneering civil rights activist, lawyer, feminist, writer, and the first Black person perceived to be a woman to be ordained as an Episcopal priest. A tireless advocate for social justice, Murray’s work bridged the civil rights and women's rights movements, and played a significant role in the legal fight against segregation and discrimination.

This print of original artwork was created by visual artist Claire Alexander for the Pauli Murray Center for History and Social Justice and inspired the artwork for the Pauli candle and scent. 90% of net sales go directly to supporting the Pauli Murray Center for History and Social Justice.
