Proud Roots is a living scent installation coming to the Lakewood Shopping Center median, honoring the four people who nurtured Pauli Murray: Agnes, Pauline, Robert, and Cornelia. It will be free, public, bilingual, and planted by hand by neighbors this September. The City of Durham's Love Your Block grant covers part of the cost; your support builds the rest.
